John Jakiemiec |

John Jakiemiec

Coach Jakiemiec is a hitting and pitching instructor as well as a Certified Personal Trainer with a Corrective Exercise specialty designation.  He has coached high school and travel baseball for several years and is one of the founders of the Marin Sports Academy ("MSA"), a non-profit organization that provides youth opportunities to participate in sports through camps, clinics, training and competitive team play.  MSA is best known for its Bombers Baseball Club, one of the top travel ball organizations in Northern California.

John played multiple high school sports in Michigan, before going on to play college football for Dartmouth Colleg.  He played one year of JV baseball in college before coming to the realization that football would be his focus.  This realization might have had something to do with the quality of ballplayer Dartmouth was bringing during this time, which included Mike Remlinger (Giants #1 pick in 1987), Brad Ausmus, and Mark Johnson.  Jakiemiec remains friends with Mike, Brad and Mark.

John credits his experience working with Tom House as the foundation for his pitching instruction, while his hitting model is derived in part from the works of Tom Robson, Coop DeRenne, and of course, Ted Williams!

Coach Jakiemiec is head coach and co-general manager of the DuPage Pistol Shrimp, summer collegiate wood bat team that plays in the elite Prospect League.
